UPDATE – 8/2/22, 5 P.M. EST: Well, the first chapter of Yeezy Day 2022 has been a doozy, for a few different reasons. On the shoe-buying front, Yeezy Supply released restocks of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in “Hyperspace” and the Yeezy 500s in “Super Moon Yellow,” among others, while users reported that the coveted “Turtle Dove” 350s appeared briefly on the the Adidas Confirmed app before disappearing.

Would-be buyers also claimed that the Confirmed app crashed several times throughout the day, preventing them from entering the eligibility “draw” to snag their desired pair. Across various Yeezy fan accounts, fans clamored for foams and slides over sneakers as news of new releases trickled out.

UPDATE – 8/2/22, 10:05 A.M. EST: The first wave is upon us. Adidas has confirmed that sales in North America will take place today (August 2), with Europe, Greater China, South Korea, and Japan getting their turn tomorrow (August 3).

The countdown clock on the Yeezy Supply website has ticked down to 10 a.m. EST, and the Adidas Confirmed app is displaying three Yeezy styles so far: the very wavy 450s in “Utility Black,” the classic 350s in the “Static” gray-and-cream colorway, and the chunky 700s in “Static” and “Analog” beige. (The 350s are also only currently listed in kids’ and infant sizes, though that’s subject to change.)

And if this year’s Yeezy Day is anything like last year’s, we may very well see a drop of the OG Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runners later in the day. Check back here all day for updates.

While the artist formerly known as Kanye West may be an iconic Gemini, it makes sense that Yeezy Day—a.k.a. your annual best shot at snagging a pair of Yeezy sneakers at retail prices—falls during Leo season. Now’s the time to show up and show off.

Since Ye and Adidas teamed up to make sneakers in 2013, Yeezys have been difficult for consumers to get their hands on, at least without hitting the secondhand market. In recent years, though, Ye’s premonition that “Eventually everybody who wants to get Yeezys will get Yeezys” has become somewhat more true: Yeezy sneakers, as opposed to the brand’s very popular and harder-to-get foam slideshave come to dominate StockX sales. In response to all this, the brands introduced Yeezy Day in 2019 as a semiannual release of new and restocked styles across their sales platforms. In standard Ye fashion, the particulars tend to make themselves known spontaneously, but here’s what the Yeezy Day 2022 grapevine has revealed so far.

Taking place across Tuesday, August 2 and Wednesday, August 3, drops will occur on the Adidas Confirmed app—we’d recommend downloading now so you’re prepped—and the Yeezy Supply website, where new styles will go up for grabs without much warning. Currently, the Yeezy Supply homepage features a pair of very wavy Yeezy 450s and a countdown clock ticking down to around 7 a.m. EST on Tuesday, August 2—which is presumably when you’ll be able to hit the buy button on a pair. (The page also has a prompt where you can sign up for email updates.)

Other styles anticipated to drop during Yeezy Day 2022 include the Yeezy Boost 350 ‘Turtle Dove’, Yeezy Foam Runner ‘Vermillion’, Yeezy 350 V2 ‘Core Red’, Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Core White’ (Oreo), Yeezy 700 V3 ‘Azeal’, Yeezy 700 V1 ‘Analog’, Yeezy 350 V2 ‘Sesame’, Yeezy 700 V2 ‘Static’, Yeezy 350 V2 ‘Hyperspace’, and the Yeezy 700 V2 ‘Tephra,’ among others.

Godspeed!
